COURSE DIRECTOR INTERNSHIP LEMBONGAN REQUIREMENTS
Here are the requirements you must meet before becoming a Course Director.
- PADI Master Instructor
- EFR Instructor Trainer
- Be an active PADI IDC Staff Instructor
- Within the last 12 months:
- No records of Quality Assurance Complaints with PADI
- According to PADI standards, having conducted each level of training as outlined in the Instructor Manual.
- Exclusive usage of the PADI system. Meaning, scuba dive manuals, videos, exams, teaching guides, etc.
- Only issued PADI certifications to students
- Complete all System, Standards, and Procedures portion of the IE exam with a minimum score of 85%. Moreover, the rest of the IE must have been completed with a score of 83% or higher
- Completed and staffed a minimum of 2 IDCs or a mix of 2 AI and 2 OWSI programs. In addition, it’s recommended to have also done 1 AI + 1 OWSI+ 1 IDC after becoming an IDC Staff Instructor. Training must be finished before the introduction of the current IDC curriculum
- Have experience working with a PADI Resort & Retail Association Member
- At least, led or organized:
- 1 Project AWARE Dive Against Debris
- Having an active “My Ocean” Profile
- Promoted AWARE C-Card
- Within the past 3 years, an 1 extra Project AWARE event such as cleanup, Coral Watch, fundraising, etc.
- Have >250+ logged dives
WHAT’S INCLUDED & EXCLUDED?
COURSE DIRECTOR INTERNSHIP LEMBONGAN APPLICATION
There are only 2 CDTCs a year. First, there is one held in March at Kota Kinabalu Malaysia. Next, there is one in June held in the Dominican Republic. Each course has a maximum limit of 40 students. You must make sure you have the best application possible to earn a spot.
There are a lot of requirements, but meeting them is just your first step. Firstly, you must fill in that application and send it to PADI. After, you will participate in an interview where you’ll discuss your motivations for becoming a Course Director. Additionally, PADI may want to talk about your application and anything else that is relevant. Finally, the PADI committee will review everything to make a decision.
